Papé Kenworth & PACCAR recently joined forces to show appreciation for the truck drivers who have been working overtime to transport essential goods and keep shelves stocked over the last few months. The Coronavirus pandemic has put a strain on the entire shipping and logistics industry, and without the dedication of truck drivers many essential supplies would not have been able to get to where they were most needed.
To show our appreciation, we hosted a free lunch for truck drivers on April 15th at our Papé Kenworth dealership in Lakewood, WA, conveniently located off I-5, fifteen minutes south of Tacoma.
The event was a great success. Over 40 truck drivers stopped by to receive a free boxed lunch and heartfelt thank you from our team. “We were very proud to help offer a simple solution for our men and women truck drivers across the state to get a lunch during these trying times. At the time these drivers had nowhere to stop and eat. Restaurants were closed and they can’t take their rigs through the drive thru. All drivers were very thankful for the quick and easy meal. With the help of Kenworth, PACCAR Parts, and Papé Kenworth Northwest the event was a success and we look forward in supporting truck drivers as we come out of this pandemic,” said Lakewood General Manager, Mitch Hatfield.
We look forward to continuing to support drivers as we always have with emergency roadside assistance, expert technicians, and quality parts. Reach out to your local Papé Kenworth to learn more.
